In conjunction with Owosso’s Curwood Festival, stop at Steam Railroading Institute for a railroad open house!

Take a short ride on historic cabooses for an educational experience aboard SRI’s Yard Goat Demonstration Train! Learn what it took in the golden age of railroading to keep the busy train yards operating like clockwork when the little switcher engines, known as “yard goats,” worked tirelessly around the clock that continues to this very day. Tickets are $5 and are sold at the door in the Welcome Center. Caboose rides depart at the top of every hour starting at 12pm noon, last departure at 6pm.
